Maya Baranova – Thanks For The RideMaya Baranova’s debut album, Thanks For The Ride, is a raw, compelling exploration of addiction and recovery, shaped by her own experiences and enriched through her work with SMART Recovery groups. Structured around eight powerful tracks, the album mirrors the "8 pillars for understanding addictive dynamics"—each song a window into a different facet of the journey through and beyond addiction.Baranova’s songwriting is both intimate and expansive, weaving personal narratives with voices of others who have faced the depths of addiction. The album features an impressive lineup of true hidden stories that add depth and authenticity, helping to challenge long-held myths about addiction—like the notions of powerlessness or the necessity of "hitting rock bottom."Musically, Thanks For The Ride blends acoustic vulnerability with moments of bold determination, echoing the symbolic strength of the number eight: resilience, willpower, and the drive for transformation. It’s not just an album—it’s a message of hope, truth, and empowerment for anyone touched by addiction. An audacious and deeply human debut, Thanks For The Ride invites us to rethink what we know about recovery—and listen more closely to those living it.
